Stamplorations posts have been rare on my blog this year, partly due to me being kept occupied by real life events and also because Stamplorations challenges and events have been scaled down to allow Shery, Stamplorations' boss, to have some sort of maternity break.
Normal service will resume in May but, in the meantime, I am here today to show you the latest release of CUTplorations phrase dies and what I did with them.
First up, You Are My Sunshine:
For the background I used the Leaves 2 Stencil with Distress ink, first in its "upright" position, then rotated 90°.
Behind the new CUTplorations phrase, I created a sunshine impression with Distress inks and matted it with blue cardstock.
I added that fun little bird from the Birds of Paradise stamp set, die-cut with the matching die and coloured with pencils.
Next, particularly true on our crafting blogs, Art Happens:
I used the Retro Circles stencil with Distress inks to create a backdrop to the CUTploration phrase and stamped several motifs from the Art Marks set.
Finally, my personal favourite (project not phrase!), Life is good:
I made the background with layers of paints and 2 stencils, Nestled Circles and Leaves 2.
I then stamped 2 of the blooms from the Blooming Buds stamp set and painted them, before adding the CUTplorations die-cut out of cardstock and popped up with another die cut from fun foam.
Do pop over to the Stamplorations blog to see how the other designers have used these wonderful new dies and don't forget to comment along the way for a chance to win a $25 voucher!
Thanks for coming by,
I am entering the Addicted to Stamps challenges.
