Blogging has been a great motivator in my crafting, as well a way to get in touch with the crafting community and share information, inspiration and encouragement. Sadly, Facebook, Instagram and other social media are slowly edging out the more leisurely blogs. Maybe it's a generation thing, maybe it's a sign of the times... always going quicker, always moving on to the next thing...
Unsurprisingly, several blogs and challenges have given up, A Vintage Journey being one that I admired greatly. I had to enter their last challenge despite ATCs being a real struggle for me!

The left hand ATC includes some Graphic 45 paper and a chipboard piece, a deer die-cut and a gold star from the Sizzix Thinlits Set- Christmas Shadow Box (663611), some gel medium mixed with white acrylic paint and sprinkled with white flock.
The right hand side has a background made with an embossed wax paper (Sizzix Texture Fades Embossing Folders: Bricked & Woodgrain set 656644) , ironed and inked over. Santa Claus is also graphic 45 and I stamped the sentiment from an old magazine freebie set.
Only one thing left to say.....
Superbe bravo
ReplyDeleteThese are absolutely delightful, Christine, and I'm so happy that you decided to join us on this final leg of the journey (especially as you're one of the few who read it properly and realised it was supposed to be ATCs - even though they're not your favourite thing!). I love the deer against the festive holly and that's a wonderful St Nicolas image. Thanks for joining us on A Vintage Journey, and I hope you are enjoying a peaceful festive season.

ReplyDeleteHi Christine, hope you've had a nice Christmas. Gorgeous ATCs. I for one have no intentions of stopping blogging. I love the size of the page, the ability to easily go back to earlier projects and the relaxed atmosphere. Sending hugs, Angela xXx
ReplyDeleteWhat amazing ATCs! The vintage designs are beautiful and I love the little deer standing in the snow with the star shining down - stunning 😀. Thanks so much for joining us at A Vintage Journey for one last time! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. Enjoy the rest of the festive season and all the best for 2021! Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDeleteLovely ATCs. I hope you had a good Christmas in the circumstances. Wishing you a happy, healthy and peaceful 2021 with abundant opportunities for crafting xxx
