Welcome to my second inspiration post for the Country View Challenge where the theme is First Signs of Spring, chosen by the lovely Miriam.
I read somewhere one of the signs of spring is birds singing, one species in particular but I can't remember which. So I hope this here robin will do...
I stamped the robin (Crafty Individuals CI-507) and coloured the image with pencils. The sky and grass were done with Distress Inks and a brush.I read somewhere one of the signs of spring is birds singing, one species in particular but I can't remember which. So I hope this here robin will do...
I used 3 different patterned papers to mat and layer and voila...
I hope you are inspired to join in our challenge with your Spring makes. Don't forget that you could win a £ 20 voucher if you do...
Thanks for coming by,

What a lovely stamp - I love your colouring it looks as though he has been hand drawn.
ReplyDeleteThat's a very chirpy looking robin and they are certainly one of the first birds you notice singing in the spring. Have a lovely week xx
ReplyDeleteYou've done an amazing job of coloring this robin! What a great card to herald the coming of spring! I think our robins might be a bit confused, as we are having one of the coldest snaps of the winter this week right after a day of summer temps!
ReplyDeleteGreat card, Christine! I love the little robin, I saw a couple of them sitting on my fence right yesterday!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day!
Evelyn xx
High Christine this is so sweet. It is believed that it's the robin that is the first bird to celebrate the start of Spring as in some countries they are believed to go South for the winter but we see them all year round in the UK and they are such a cheeky little bird. Take care and have a lovely week, Angela xXx
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful stamp and so delicately tinted. It's definitely one of the joys for me to have lots of birds in the garden. I started feeding daily when I got here, and the flocks of different birds are such a delight to watch as they enjoy what I've put out for them. There's one Robin - I'm hoping for more as Spring advances (still a way off here).
