Memories of summer

Time for a second inspiration piece for our Country View Challenge on the theme Sun, Sea and Sand chosen by Corrie. I have made a card with another piece of alcohol background on Yupo using Tim Holtz's Alcohol lift ink.
If you missed my first post, check out how I created the background here.

Having decided to use a square format I cut my background panel and added a ribbon between the 2 pieces thereby extending it.

I popped up the Alcohol-ink- lifted panel (La Mappa - a stamp by Rubber Dance) and added some die cut words (TH Sizzix Thinlits -Vacation words), wooden embellishments (Kaisercraft Flourish Pack: Lifes a Beach) and some beads on a layer of gel medium (Prima Marketing Finnabair Art Ingredients Glass Beads).

Come over and celebrate summer holidays by linking your makes to the Country View Challenge, if you do you could win a £20 voucher!

Thanks for coming by,
I am entering the Rubber Dance Forever, The Artistic Stamper, Penny Black and more (my "B" is of course Beach!) challenges.

  1. You have incorporated so much dimension in your pretty piece Christine, the stencil you used in the background is one I find so useful. Many thanks for joining us at Penny Black and More challenge.

  3. Love the "lifted" stamping - what wonderful weathered colours to give it a really vintage look. My Lift Ink pad has just arrived - now I'd just like some time to play!
