Welcome to the special STAMPlorations release! 2 new sets are making their debut, Healing Herbs and Wooded.
I have had the pleasure of trying out Deepti's Healing Herbs stamp set
This new stamp set has been designed with Get well cards in mind, but the motifs being herbs, leaves and gardening accessories, it can be used all year round to create garden scenes, bouquets etc... It comes out rather fortuitously in time for (British) Mother's day too...
My first make could indeed be a Mother's day card, if you replace the sentiment!
I created a stepper card from pink cardstock and added toppers that have been languishing in my stash. I think this was a well intentioned gift dating from my early crafting years, when I didn't have many stamps.
For the central panel I stamped and masked the bag in Versafine sepia ink and overstamped with 2 kinds of herbs in green inks. I coloured the bag with pencils, added a few sequins a ribbon and sentiment from the same set.
A look from above (and in the shade... the winter light in the Northern hemisphere is not helping!):
For the bouquet tag left, I stamped the label first, in pink ink, masked it, then stamped 2 of the stems 3 times in various shades of green ink. To finish I added enamel accents and instantly changed the herbs into flowers!
For the bouquet in a jar, I stamped the label first, masked it, then stamped the jar. I used the thyme sprig to stamp repeatedly my bouquet and finished by applying some Flower Soft in Heather, another supply that has been barely used...
Here I stamped and masked the crate (tip: make sure you cut out the inside to let the herbs show through the open middle of the crate!). I also stamped and masked the sign before stamping the parsley and laurel (?) stems.
All the tags were finished with fancy eyelets, yes another needs-to-be-used crafty item... Rather proud of myself for doing some serious stash busting in these makes!
So if you haven't yet checked out the STAMPlorations blog, time to go and see how Deepti and Becca used the Healing Herbs set and get a glimpse of the new Wooded set! But before you hop on there, heads up, there are prizes....
