I used glossy cardstock to get as close as possible to an impression of a photograph. I am still getting to grips with the techniques and from this project I have learned that I need more dye inks for best results!
I have used the same stamps for my night and day pictures with the exception of the foreground, as I thought it unlikely there'd be a canoeist in the night scene!
As I said, I need more experience (spot the glaring error and improper use of inks) but I hope you'll find my scenes acceptable!
Enjoy you May bank holiday!

They both look great to me.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with the above they both look adorable to me. Very pretty scenes altogether.

Two beauties Christine, although I am not a blue girl on this occasion I think it's my fav. And I think you definitely need the full set f dye inks.

Two fab pictures! Funnily enough I remembered I had these stamps after I had made mine! xx
ReplyDeleteLovely scenes. I can not manage this technique at all. Always try to do the last layer 1st.
ReplyDeleteYes, I think it takes a bit of practice to know what will work and what won't !
DeleteI thought your journal page had an interesting concept behind it. Particularly loved the black tag with the yellow light shining out.
Gorgeous project! Thanks for joining in the TIMI challenge at Craft Stamper!

These are striking. No idea how you did these and can't see any errors. I couldn't get my head round this challenge. You did great. Hugz
ReplyDeleteFabulous project ..... Thank you for joining in with the Craft Stamper Challenge .... good luck! Linda xx
ReplyDeleteHello Christine.
ReplyDeleteWell I can say from experience that these scenes and this process to acquire them lies in the advanced class of
techniques. Your canoe card looks fabulous, so well done, I think if you keep practicing and you enjoy doing these types of cards you will become very good at it....me I gave up after numerous disasters. Thank you so much for joining us this month at Country View Crafts.
Smiles:)

I find them more than acceptable! You have created two beautiful tranquil scenes.
