Postcard impression

Simply scenic is the May theme at Country View Crafts so it's time to play with my Stampscapes stamps again!

I used glossy cardstock to get as close as possible to an impression of a photograph. I am still getting to grips with the techniques and from this project I have learned that I need more dye inks for best results!

I have used the same stamps for my night and day pictures with the exception of the foreground, as I thought it unlikely there'd be a canoeist in the night scene!

As I said, I need more experience (spot the glaring error and improper use of inks) but I hope you'll find my scenes  acceptable!

Enjoy you May bank holiday!

Also entering the Craft Stamper and Craft Barn challenges.

  6. Lovely scenes. I can not manage this technique at all. Always try to do the last layer 1st.

    1. Yes, I think it takes a bit of practice to know what will work and what won't !
I thought your journal page had an interesting concept behind it. Particularly loved the black tag with the yellow light shining out.

  12. Hello Christine.
Well I can say from experience that these scenes and this process to acquire them lies in the advanced class of
techniques. Your canoe card looks fabulous, so well done, I think if you keep practicing and you enjoy doing these types of cards you will become very good at it....me I gave up after numerous disasters. Thank you so much for joining us this month at Country View Crafts.
    Smiles:)
