Flower garden

February is the month when the new craft products start arriving in the shops and personally, after a lack of mojo throughout the dreary January we've had in the UK, new goodies do always help reconnect with my creative side!

New to my stash this month is the gorgeous Flower Garden stamp by teamie Julie Hickey. Of course I wanted bright colours to go with it to chivvy spring along...

This is quite a large stamp and it doesn't need much else to make a card, so I let the design take pride of place on my card without any fussy embellishments, die-cuts etc...

I stamped the image with Versamagic to keep my options open in terms of colouring medium, as this ink will work with water based and alcohol based media.

I coloured the flowers creating a gradient and the leaves are done in a similar fashion, just a little less variation.

To finish I cut out the image and matted it on yellow card, stamped the sentiment from the Everyday Sentiments also by Julie Hickey with Versafine ink and voila, a card to brighten a wintry day!

Supplies:
Julie Hickey Designs Stamp Set - Flower Garden
Julie Hickey Designs I Need It Stamp Set - Everyday Sentiments
VersaMagic Dew Drop Inkpad Eggplant
Versafine Onyx Black

Should you purchase any of the products I have used on this card, select  'Design Team'  in the 'where have you seen us' drop down so we know we have inspired you!

Thanks for coming by,
I am entering the Stamping Sensations, challenges.
