Love birds

Welcome to our new STAMPlorations Theme & Sketch challenge!

For February the Theme and Sketch are:

 

For my first inspiration piece I created a card following the theme only. There isn't a lot of stamping on this one, but I just had to use my heart balloon die-cut and, unusually, everything else fell into place as if by magic.

The heart/balloon plays the part of the sun, illustrating the You are my sunshine sentiment on which the (love) birds stand.

For the background I used a piece of White wash Core'dinations (don't you love it when old stash is JUST the thing) sanded, embossed with a heart folder and sanded a bit more to create an ombre look in the sky.

I used Distress inks to finish the balloon-sun and stamped and embossed the Birds of Paradise on the matching die-cuts.

Since I had the White wash pad out I used a piece to die-cut the sentiment.
